The Emijun Wellness Journey

We believe Nature can Nurture your family just as it has been nurturing ours! We rely on plants to help our bodies do what they were created to do: find wellness all on their own. It has been a gradual change that began back in 1999. When our daughter, Emily, was born in mid-1992 we did everything the doctor said - allergy shots, asthma meds, eliminated the foods that she was allergic to - and nothing helped. She was sick ALL the time! I was so tired of putting meds in and seeing her body reject them (vomit them up). I knew in my momma heart there was a better way! So I took some steps that felt right! 

Our son, John David, was born in late 2003. He has been our first user of elderberry, as I chose plants early in his life while Emily and I were learning how to use herbs for all kinds of things, really. Truly, I feel I have used plants for any and all of our major health
concerns, but I do have a huge focus on the brain as both of these beautiful souls are on the autism spectrum.

We kept taking those steps toward natural wellness over time. That is why I call it a journey. I did not get it right overnight! I just would not give up! As I learned or felt that something was right or wrong for us we included it or gave it up. Along the way we got the diagnosis of melanoma for Emily; I was devastated. I watched as they cut her and I saw the results of that awful surgery. Similarly, I later used a treatment plan on John David that I felt I HAD to use, with awful results. They both paid the price for those rash, uninformed medical choices, and all I could do was be a spectator (sad and mad).
Powerless…or so I thought.

I have worked hard to become a WARRIOR MOMMA. I no longer relinquish my decisions to someone that does not love my family the way I do.
David has been beside me and not once has he said, “No”. He works alongside of me to help educate others, to share with others, and to certify
in programs that will increase his abilities to help others. We are excited to bring the knowledge that we have learned the hard way to you! So you can have us to cheer you on, help you through, and decide what you want to do for your family. It won’t be overnight, but wellness is a choice you keep seeking.
